Spinach Burgers

If you just thought "ew, Spinach burgers" then I wouldn't try this recipe. I really like veggie burgers so this reminded my of this. I would have veggie burgers at Shivers and they were so good! I thought they were a nice change, healthy and it cooked just like a burger. I liked them! I had Bethany's baked Fries with them!

  1. I only had fresh spinach, and guestimated on how much to blend in blender, used all I had, then added some lettuce to make it look like a "bag." They were a bit too moist because I think I had just rinsed the lettuce, added garlic spread seasoning instead of powder. But I just cooked them a bit longer and they worked. They were good. but my kids hated them. It's okay, though. At least I'll know in the future. THX em!

  2. oh yeah. and I spread a tiny bit of hot sauce on mine with a tiny bit o' ranch. I know. I am evil. Judd doesn't like spicy, so he stuck with just ranch. I have yet to make my homemade pinterest of ranch....tbcontinued.

  4. I also used fresh spinach. I guessed three hand fulls and it turned out well. I also made my own bread crumbs from my wheat bread. I put a slice in the oven at 300 degrees for a like 7 min until it was dried out. I blended it up in my food chopper with the rest of the stuff. I also used the french bread roll recipe to make hamburger buns. They turned out amazing! I just used them same recipe except that I only formed 9 larger rolls and then flattened them a bit so they would come out in hamburger bun shape. We ate these with just the spinach burger, bun, and tomato. They were so tasty!

  5. these continue to be a regular at our house. Lucy announced she loves them even more pizza! I pulled some French bread roll buns out of the freezer, sliced a tomato, got out pickles, and made some fry sauce for the burger sauce. (Ketchup, mayo, tiny bit of vinegar). I changed the recipe today and it worked so much better--less soggy and less spicy. I halved the crushed red pepper and only put in one egg white and a whole egg. I used fresh spinach (a couple handfuls) and added all ingredients to my blendtec. I just quarter the end of an onion and threw it in. Very quick and easy meal.
