Easter 2025

This is what I did for Easter:

Sunday Morning: resurrection rolls with homemade dough and Amish Breakfast casserole recipe. It was good but would like to try different cheese than parmesean flavor  homemade. Not too hard to do the homemade version of resurrection rolls.

Was going to do Mels Kitchen cafe mini quiches instead but didn’t  want to make the crust. Used turkey bacon in Amish casserole and cooked extra to put on top of potatoes before cornflakes step on top for dinner.

I made Lemon yogurt bread for neighbors so that was our dessert but was going to made raspberry angel food cake instead or Easter dirt cups. Lemon yogurt bread was so delicious.

Dinner:

Deviled eggs

Jello eggs

Funeral potatoes with turkey bacon

Buttery Bundt pan rolls from Mel’s

Green salad mix with cucumbers and radishes

Pineapple—was going to cut out tomb with them but too tired by then. Could do honey vanilla yogurt fruit salad recipe next time.

Holy week:

Sunday built garden tomb with chia seeds, did Hosanna waving with palm leaves,

Talked about growing testimonies of Christ, gave grow fish toy

Monday—building foundation on Christ like the temple-gave building legocandy and smartie-sang wiseman song

Tuesday-parables of Christ-watched video of serving others is like serving Christ—listened to learn of me and listen to my words song. Gave them books from the book fair

Wednesday- watched Lazarus raised from the dead, miracles song-“He is a God of miracles”. Gave slinky—Jesus walks with us when it’s hard/He can do miracles like helping people walk again

Thursday-passover-bread of life-nutella

We got out our candles, put red tablecloth on our ottoman, put Easter music on,  had mahi mahi, vegetables, olives, bread with oil dip, nuts, grape juice, dates

We added epsom salts to warm water and washed each others feet then watched Jesus Suffers video. It was so special .

Friday was living water-gave a fun drink with Easter straws we went to King of Kings movie

Saturday- Peace in Christ gave pieces of gum and confetti eggs-took turns crushing over heads—talked about how egg looked like a normal egg but there was something exciting and magical happening inside

Sunday oh sweet the joy this sentence gives-Easter pencils.

Watched Jesus is resurrected video

Christmas 2025–Ang’s omelette and fondue

I just wanna make sure I write down what we did a Christmas cause I forget by the next year and have to figure it out again. This year we did a fancy Christmas Eve dinner and got outer festive plates with nice glasses and had a candlelight dinner and then did our Christmas nativity after. Next year, I think I want to read the away in a major book with the Christmas nativity and seeing Wayne a Manger as well as silent night. I also want to do Jenny Oaks Baker Christmas book on a Sunday before Christmas. What we had for dinner on Christmas Eve was leftover turkey from Thanksgiving that I had frozen along with a gravy that I had frozen. Then I made potatoes and stuffing from a box and we had a cranberry salad And Bundt rolls and hot chocolate for dessert and I have the salad for the cranberry fluff salad, and that seemed about right. Mark doesn’t like that salad but me and Lincoln did a lot. I’d like to try Katie’s cheesecake raspberry salad. She posted on here next year for this meal. The next morning we had Ang’s omelette casserole

. It was a nice change from the year before. I just have to remember that it cooks a long time so don’t wait to put it in the oven. I think instead of turkey sausage the frozen turkey sausage links I use from Costco that were flavored were better. we also had oat knock and normal eggnog, but we always like to mix in the oat dog because it doesn’t make us feel as sick. We had oranges with powdered sugar, the bunt rolls, but I have to make sure I spray the butt roll pan before because I forgot to do that and it was a mess. I like the sick sisters recipe, but I also want to cover the rolls after 10 minutes cause they get brown that day I sliced cucumbers and brought cheese and crackers upstairs just after lunchtime before we did presents because no one was hungry for lunch that night. I did frozen lasagnas from Costco with a Caesar salad mix from Costco and French bread. It was so easy. I loved it. Mark said next year he may want to do a steak but maybe we could do that for Christmas Eve because that goes with potatoes and gravy and rolls instead of turkey. For New Year’s fondue I used the symphony Hershey bar recipe using our old Halloween candy. It worked great. I also want to try Angie’s recipe from Suzy for fondue.

I also did a Christmas breakfast for Lucy and got hot chocolate cups with peppermint, stirring spoons that were chocolate and marshmallow peeps that were peppermint and did gingerbread waffles with powdered sugar and oranges. Then the girls made Christmas bracelets and did a Christmas craft and painted these peg ornament dolls, and then played Christmas Pictionary and a gift passing game where they had to stand up and trade with someone if They had done that thing at Christmas like watched five Christmas movies or was wearing red or that year or caroling. It was so much fun and I would love to do it any Christmas.
