I didn't use eggs and I didn't try the recipe for the sauce (although by the ingredients it sounds good). I prefer the lasagna noodles over the tubes and the jumbo shells even. They were precooked so I just soaked them in warm water till they were malleable enough to roll up with cheese filling. Yum.
There is even a video on the website playing while you are reading the recipe so you don't forget how to do...stuff.
