Christmas 2025–Ang’s omelette and fondue
. It was a nice change from the year before. I just have to remember that it cooks a long time so don’t wait to put it in the oven. I think instead of turkey sausage the frozen turkey sausage links I use from Costco that were flavored were better. we also had oat knock and normal eggnog, but we always like to mix in the oat dog because it doesn’t make us feel as sick. We had oranges with powdered sugar, the bunt rolls, but I have to make sure I spray the butt roll pan before because I forgot to do that and it was a mess. I like the sick sisters recipe, but I also want to cover the rolls after 10 minutes cause they get brown that day I sliced cucumbers and brought cheese and crackers upstairs just after lunchtime before we did presents because no one was hungry for lunch that night. I did frozen lasagnas from Costco with a Caesar salad mix from Costco and French bread. It was so easy. I loved it. Mark said next year he may want to do a steak but maybe we could do that for Christmas Eve because that goes with potatoes and gravy and rolls instead of turkey. For New Year’s fondue I used the symphony Hershey bar recipe using our old Halloween candy. It worked great. I also want to try Angie’s recipe from Suzy for fondue.
I also did a Christmas breakfast for Lucy and got hot chocolate cups with peppermint, stirring spoons that were chocolate and marshmallow peeps that were peppermint and did gingerbread waffles with powdered sugar and oranges. Then the girls made Christmas bracelets and did a Christmas craft and painted these peg ornament dolls, and then played Christmas Pictionary and a gift passing game where they had to stand up and trade with someone if They had done that thing at Christmas like watched five Christmas movies or was wearing red or that year or caroling. It was so much fun and I would love to do it any Christmas.

Tortellini Sausage Soup
Triples and it worked great. Froze one batch and it worked great if you don’t cook tortellini much the first time. Think about holding out the frozen tortellini until rewarming

Cool Veggie Pizza
This is like an appetizer and wouldn't fill you up much, but a fun pot luck item I had at a RS party

Melt in your mouth Steaks

I am posting this so I can remember that we might want to make when Caleb comes back from his mission as we tried this marinade and liked it for Judd's birthday. We used new york steaks and marinaded for 1.5 hours, but I'm sure with more time, it would be even better!

Quinoa tacos with cowboy dip
I used this recipe for base for our tacos. Didn’t take time to make dressing. It was a little too spicy so need to go easier on the adobe sauce next time. Next night I added a can of diced tomatoes so we had enough leftovers. I had mels avocado salsa made the day before so we had that to top them.
